Our goal at the R. F. Hairston Early Learning Center is to provide for the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual growth of your child. We are eclectic in approach basing our program on a knowledge of child development. We offer a warm, loving, yet stimulating environment, where children can be curious and active in safety.

Children are a precious gift from God, to be nurtured and developed from their first breath. Our goal is to complement your child's home experience during the time he/she spends with us. We want to work closely with you regarding your child's total development.

Religious, as well as other cultural values (honesty, respect, sharing, caring, etc.) are shared with the children through stories, songs, prayers, and interactions among the children and teachers.

Day Care: 6:30am - 6:00pm Monday through Friday

SNOW DAYS
R.F. Hairston Early Learning Center will close only if weather conditions are hazardous to parents and staff.  Administrator will decide and call staff and parents at 5:00 a.m. the day the center will be closed.  Please listen to the local radio and television broadcast for announcements for Emergency Level (2)* or (3) to learn whether the center will be closed (in the event that phone service is disrupted).

*Emergency Level 2 limits travel on the road to Emergency Vehicles only.

HEALTH
A completed medical form must be on file before the child's first day of school. If a child becomes ill during school hours it is the parents responsibility to pick up the child. No child may be brought to school or remain at school while ill. Over-the-counter drugs or doctor prescribed will be given only when an authorization form has been completed.

In case of accidental injury, we will contact you at the emergency phone numbers that you supply to us. If your child is in need of immediate care, he/she will be taken to Children Hospital.

If your child is exempt from medical care on religious grounds, and is treated by a certified practitioner, please notify the office and supply the necessary information regarding this matter.

TUITION
A non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. Tuition for child care is due the first day of each week. No credit is given for an absence. 

CLOTHING
Children should come to school in play clothing. An extra change of clothing is to be left at the center. Each child shall be assigned a locker for their personal belongings. We encourage you to leave valuables and personal toys at home.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURE
Children will only be released to an authorized person as stated on their registration form. The school must be made aware ahead of time of any changes. the child will not be released without prior notification of change.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF RECORDS AND INFORMATION
Information pertaining to the admission, progress, health, or discharge of an individual child shall be confidential and limited to facility staff designated by the director, unless the parent(s) of the child has granted written permission for disclosure.
